Oh My Goodness! Happy Monday my crafty Peeps!!
I hope you all have had a great start to your week. I am posting a wonderful project for you today.
Did you know that with Stampin' Up! it's not just about the stamps? Really! There is so much more. I'm going to show you just a small easy (ssshhh inexpensive) project that takes less than an hour to make! Exciting NEW products were used in this pictorial. Customers can order online at www.stampinup.com starting March 5th, 2024!
Today you will see how I made a cute coffee sign/wall decor item using a small wood plaque from the local dollar store! Yup, that's right I love to supply shop at the local dollar spots!
Supplies for this project are
Stampin' Up!: A little Latte 12x12 Designer Series Paper (available 3/5/2024), adhesive backed swirl dots (available 3/5/2024), Real Red 8.5x11 cardstock, Pebbled Path dye ink, real red and burlap ribbon combo.
Coffee mug, coffee word and hearts were cut out of recycled chipboard from a delivery box using my Cricut Maker 3! I then used Mod Podge brand glue/sealer to adhere the pattern paper.
You will need any chipboard/die cut shapes of your choice
a wood plaque or paper base
4 different pattern papers and 1 solid
2 coordinating ribbons
Mod Podge and foam brush
220 grit sand paper
hot glue gun
paper trimmer and scissors
First gather some supplies
This project comes together really easy once you have all your supplies together
1. Cut dark pattern paper to 6.5x6.5 inches, approximately 1x1 inch solid color cardstock, 3x2 inches second dark pattern paper, a 4x4 inch piece of medium dark pattern paper and finally a 4x8 inch piece of the light pattern paper for your word/words, brush a thick layer of mod podge onto your plaque and the chipboard word and shapes and firmly adhere the pattern paper and cardstock to each item being sure that all edges and corners are secured well. Set aside to let dry while you assemble the rest of your supplies.
2. Once dry, use scissors to cut away the excess pattern paper and cardstock from around and between the wood slats (you may choose to use a craft knife for this part) and chipboar shapes. Once all the shapes have been trimmed up, use your sand paper to distress the edges smooth.
3. Paint a layer of mod podge over all the pattern paper decorated pieces and let dry.
4. Once dry use hot glue to adhere your word and shapes where you would like on the plaque!
5. Cut a length of 8 inches of both ribbons, tie both in a bow around one of the slats or around one side of the jute hanger. Your done!!
I hope you enjoyed this project and can't wait to make one for yourself.
