Step 2: Cut out your card elements

You will need a 5.5"x8.5" sheet of Basic White Cardstock, scored and folded at 4.25".  1 sheet 12"x12" pattern from the Take to the Sky paper pack that you will cut a panel 5.25"x4" to use as your background.  Then using the memory card paper, cut out the panel showing the airplanes flying up into the sky with clouds.

5.5"x4.25" card base

Step 3: adhere your background panel to your card base as shown above.

Step 4: Next stamp "happiest father's day" in Tuxedo Black ink onto the upper right corner of your airplane panel.

Step 5:  Adhere the airplain panel to the background with Stampin' Dimensionals at a slight angle. Finally add your embelishments.  I used 3 and selected random locations.

That's it, you're done!!

We'll be missing you!

 Good evening friends!!

This evening I am sharing with you a project that I have been challanged by Stampin' Up! to complete.  #SimpleStamping Challange

Using products that are on the last chance/retiring list to create a Thank You card.  So here is what I worked on this evening.

As of April 9th you will be able to order (while supplies last) a number of the discounted retired products!  How fun is that.  So if you see it and want it, don't let it slip away!  The stampset used here was Dainty Delight and it is on that retiring list and will be discounted by 30% on April 9th, that means you can get this set for less than $20.00!  Along with many more products discounted up to 60%!  You can see that list on my website.

I am SO excited that I received my print version of the 2024-2025 Stampin' Up! Catalog! Up until now I have only been able to look at the PDF version.  It is beautiful and I cannot wait to share with you what delights are between these covers!!

If you would like a free calalog please send me a message or email to builderwife79@gmail.com  I should be receiving my shipment in the next week or so.

If you spend over $50.00 in my web shop you will be eligible to receive or attend my Card Making Class on April 27th at 2pm! Will mail class kit on May 1st after all have attended. Or if out of the local area I will mail a kit to you with full tutorial!

Stamping Tutorial Time!

 Good evening my crafty crew!

I hope you have had an amazing week and are ready to work on some fun weekend things!  With Easter upon us I am sure many of us are busy preparing.  I hope those preparations include some fun time as well.

Have you had the chance to explore Stampin' Up! and their Online Exculsives?  Stampin' Up! Online Exclusives you can find them right here!  There are a lot to see and something fun for everyone!  I hope you'll take a moment to check it out.

But first, lets get to our tutorial shall we!  Tonight I am sharing the Simply Zinnia Bundle from the Online Exclusives (you will not find this in any catalog).

Step 1:  Gather your supplies and materials

*You can find all the needed supplies HERE

  • SIMPLY ZINNIA BUNDLE (ENGLISH)

    $52

  • SIMPLY SHAMMY

    $8.50

  • MOODY MAUVE CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD

    $9

  • GRANNY APPLE GREEN CLASSIC STAMPIN' PAD

    $9

  • BASIC WHITE 8-1/2" X 11" CARDSTOCK

    $10.50

  • BASIC GRAY 8-1/2" X 11" CARDSTOCK

    $10

  • MULTIPURPOSE LIQUID GLUE

    $5.50

  • TUXEDO BLACK MEMENTO INK PAD

    $6.50

  • PAPER TRIMMER

    $26

  • STAMPIN’ DIMENSIONALS

    $4.25

  • COUNTRYSIDE CORNERS DIES

    $28

  • BASICS 3D EMBOSSING FOLDERS

    $30

  • STAMPIN’ CUT & EMBOSS MACHINE

    $128

Step 2:  Cut and prepare your cardstock

You will need one white card base 8.5"x5.5, score at 4.25" and fold in half for your card, a 4"x5.25" white panel for stamping your flower background and embossing with the 3D embossing folder, using the remaining white card stock for die cutting your flowers and leaves.  A 4.25"x5.5" piece of gray cardstock for cutting out your country corner panel (1 gray) and tag (1 gray, 1 white).  You will use your Cut & Emboss machine to cut the country corner panel (3rd largest) and the small tag die.

Step 3:  Stamp your images

You will need to stamp your sentiment of choice (I used Thoughtful Expressions) on the gray tag and then glue that tag off set to the white tag. As shown below.

To stamp your background you will take the single panel 4"x5.25" and randomly stamp you flowers, using the Moody Mauve ink first in full strength ink, then stamp off your re-inked stamp to get a muted color for the next set of flowers, then stamp random leaves loosely connected to your flowers in the Granny Apple Green following the same steps as with the flowers.

After, you will stamp one set of full color flowers and leaves and one set of stamped off flowers and leaves.  These you will stamp on your scrap piece of white cardstock to be cut out with your die cuts.

If you would like you can add an additional background element by stamping the small dot pattern randomly with Wild Wheat ink as shown below.

Once you have everything stamped to your liking you will move on to the next step.

Step 4:  You will use your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine (or die cut machine you have on hand) to cut out one set of darker flowers and leaves and one set of the lighter flowers and leaves.  You will then also run your stamped panel 4"x5.25" through with the 3D embossing foder showing the crosshatch pattern.

Step 5:  Once you have completed cutting and embossing your elements you can now assemble your card.  Using a light layer of Multipurpose liquid glue, attach the stamped and embossed panel to your card base, followed by the gray Country Corners panel, centered.  You will then adhere the darker of the flowers and leave in the lower right corner of the gray panel with multipurpose glue and then the light colored leaves.  Next place a couple of Stampin' Dimensionals to the back of the light flower and place just above and to the left of the darker flower so it over laps slightly.  Lastly you will add your stamped sentiment panel to the upper right of the upper most part of the gray panel, over hanging the right edge of your card base, making sure not to move it over too far that you will cut off a portion of your sentiment.  Next trim any overhanging cardstock.

Feel free to add some bling if you choose!

I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and card!  Please let me know in the comments what you thought of this one, what you would like to see more of.

Reminder, we are 1 month away from my first Stampin' Up!
